1. About Chopbaze

Chopbaze is an online marketplace that connects customers with independent food vendors offering bulk food orders. We make it easy to discover trusted vendors, place orders, make secure payments, and coordinate deliveries.

While we carefully vet our vendors, the meals you order are prepared and supplied by independent vendors, not by Chopbaze.

2. Eligibility

To use our Platform, you must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.

If you use Chopbaze on behalf of a business or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Your Account

If you create an account with us, you're responsible for:

• Providing accurate and up-to-date information.
• Keeping your login details secure.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
• All activity carried out under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activities.

4. Orders

• Submitting an order does not automatically guarantee acceptance.
• Orders become confirmed only after the selected vendor accepts the order and payment has been successfully processed (where applicable).
• Availability, pricing, and estimated delivery times may change before an order is confirmed.

5. Pricing & Payments

• All prices displayed are in Nigerian Naira (₦), unless stated otherwise.
• Applicable delivery fees, taxes, and service charges will be displayed before checkout.
• Payments must be completed using one of the approved payment methods available on the Platform.

6. Cancellations

• Orders may only be cancelled before food preparation begins.
• Once the vendor has started preparing your order, cancellations may no longer be possible.
• Chopbaze also reserves the right to cancel any order where fraud, pricing errors, product unavailability, or operational issues are identified.

7. Refunds

Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Refunds may be approved where:

• An order was not delivered.
• The wrong order was delivered.
• Food arrived spoiled or significantly damaged.
• Duplicate payments occurred.
• Other verified issues determined by Chopbaze.

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible.

8. Delivery

• Delivery times shown on the Platform are estimates only.
• Actual delivery times may vary due to factors such as traffic, weather, vendor preparation time, road conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control.
• Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information. Additional charges may apply if a delivery fails due to incorrect information supplied by the customer.

9. Food Quality & Vendor Responsibility

Every vendor on Chopbaze is independently responsible for:

• Food preparation
• Hygiene
• Food safety
• Ingredients
• Packaging
• Compliance with applicable food safety regulations

Although we carefully verify vendors before onboarding them, Chopbaze cannot guarantee that every meal will meet individual preferences or expectations.

10. Allergies & Dietary Requirements

• If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, please contact the vendor before confirming your order.
• While vendors are encouraged to provide accurate ingredient information, Chopbaze cannot guarantee that meals are completely free from allergens or cross-contamination.

11. Acceptable Use

By using Chopbaze, you agree not to:

• Use the Platform for unlawful purposes.
• Submit false or misleading information.
• Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the Platform.
• Copy, reverse engineer, or exploit any part of the Platform without permission.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse vendors, delivery personnel, or Chopbaze staff.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform—including our logo, branding, designs, graphics, software, text, and other materials—is owned by or licensed to Chopbaze and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any part of our content without our prior written permission.

13. Third-Party Services

Our Platform may integrate with third-party payment providers, logistics partners, and other service providers.

While we work with trusted partners, Chopbaze is not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of third-party services.

14. Limitation of Liability

• To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chopbaze provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to our services.
• Our liability for any claim relating to an order shall not exceed the amount paid for that specific order.
• Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

15. Privacy

Your use of Chopbaze is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

When we do, we'll publish the updated version on our website. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any disputes arising from the use of the Platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nigeria.
